KIPP – Knowledge is Power Program, Founder
Biography:
Cofounder of the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP), a state school model in the USA that seeks to improve the educational results of young people from neighbourhoods at risk of social exclusion. The objective of the KIPP system, which covers both primary and secondary education, is for a high percentage of its students to attend university. KIPP currently includes around a hundred schools in the USA and is responsible for the education of 24,000 children.
