Jaume Sanllorente is a journalist, a writer and the Director of Mumbai Smiles, an organization that he founded in 2005 to care for the children of an orphanage that was about to close. Through this organization he promotes education, health and development programs in the least favored areas, programs which have had a direct impact on the life of 5,000 unprotected children. He is also the author of the book Bombay Smiles: the trip that changed my life and the co-author of Bombay, beyond the smiles. In 2009 the Spanish government granted him the Cross of Officer of the Order of Civil Merit for his "extraordinary contribution to the fight against poverty".
