The Prince of Girona Foundation’s IMPULSA Forum will focus on collaboration formulas that encourage and promote the transformation of different areas of society towards more open and collaborative models. The Forum will take another step along the lines it launched two years ago and, in its fifth edition, aims to become an amplifier for successful projects and initiatives based on collaboration. IMPULSA 2014 will be held on 26 and 27 June at the Girona Conference Centre and the registration period for those wishing to participate is already open.
‘IMPULSA Forum: open and collaborative’ is the slogan for this edition. IMPULSA has evolved to become consolidated as a platform where restless young people can meet, connect and activate their talents for social transformation. After concentrating on exploring the potential of collaboration in the last two editions, in the next edition of the Forum we will see the results of initiatives based on pooling resources and widespread capacities to generate value for everybody involved and also for society in general.
Those attending the Forum will have the opportunity to watch presentations given by the leaders of high-impact open and collaborative projects and initiatives; establish personal contacts with the other attendees and take part in a wide range of Open Sessions, which will be proposed by the promoters of the most active collaborative communities in Europe.
The Open Sessions, which will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 26 June and also be open to people not attending the Forum, are one of the main innovations in this fifth edition of the IMPULSA Forum, which will otherwise maintain the same format that was launched last year. In addition, the Close Encounters sessions are back for a second year, allowing our young participants to interact with guest speakers and award winners from various editions of the Forum.
The first day will end with the presentation of the Prince of Girona Foundation Awards, which recognise the work of young people aged between 16 and 35 and an organisation that has stood out for its entrepreneurial capacity in innovative projects. The awards will be presented at a ceremony held in the Girona Conference Centre at 7 pm.
Friday 27 June will be the main day of the Forum, and is expected to be attended by more than 1,400 participants, more than half of them aged under 35, and in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Asturias and of Girona.
