Tenora 2.0

Adrià Bauzó and Xavi LLoses build a bridge of collaboration between this instrument with more than 150 years of history and the sound of the 21st century, in a project especially developed for IMPULSA 2012.

(Girona, 2012)

‘To be original, you must go back to basics’. This is how the architect Antoni Gaudí described his innovative inspiration, and this is how Adrià Bauzó and Xavi Lloses have interpreted theirs. These young musicians have reinvented the sound of the tenora, or shawm, the Catalan instrument par excellence that captivated luminaries such as Stravinsky and Einstein in their day. Tenora 2.0 builds a bridge of collaboration between this instrument with more than 150 years of history and the sound of the 21st century, in a project especially developed for IMPULSA 2012.
