The business plans were drawn up within the framework of the Empresa Joven Europea (EJE) project run by the Valnalón consortium in Asturias. This project consists of encouraging pupils aged between 15 and 16 years old to create and manage mini-businesses by forming student-run cooperatives. The aim is to help them acquire basic entrepreneurial competences contained within study plans.
The EJE project forms part of a chain of entrepreneurial training programmes run by Valnalón which start at primary school level and culminate in projects focused on vocational training and secondary schools. The project promoter, José Manuel Pérez Díaz, Pericles, presented this experience at the IMPULSA Forum 2011.
The event, which was held on 17 May at Girona Chamber of Commerce, is a joint initiative of the Chamber, the participating educational centres and the Prince of Girona Foundation.
