Two years ago we were sitting here, three childhood friends, and decided that we could do something. We founded the Catalan Association of Development NGOs. It was, however, hard to come across funding so we therefore had to think of a way to find it.

Worldcoo is a crowdfunding platform for solidarity projects of cooperation. It represents a change in business model as we find people and businesses that make donations and obtain funds only from companies to which we provide certain services. Projects in progress include a water bank in Ethiopia, developing renewable energy in India, and providing dining room subsidies in Catalonia, etc. We are not only interested in obtaining the money, but we also ensure, transparently, that crowdfunders can see photos and videos of the project and visit it.
