More than 700 kids and teenagers will participate in different workshops and educational activities at IMPULSA 2011

The 8 parallel events held during the IMPULSA Forum 2011 ranging from creativity workshop with children to define the school of the future or a workshop to learn how to build a robot, to a dynamic generation of ideas aimed at improving students' initiative and an academy "Plant-for-the-planet" with the goal of planting one million trees in each country.

Junior - Senior Conversations

Prior to the IMPULSA Forum, meetings have been held between young people eager to undertake activities and professionals with experience in the fields of Building Enthusiasm/ Educating / Entrepreneuring / Transforming. The goal of these meetings is for the combination of the juniors' enthusiasm and energy with the experience of the seniors to give rise to the proposal of specific measures that will favor the undertaking of entrepreneurial initiatives led by young people in Spain.

The result of these conversations will be presented at the Forum through the junior/senior talks representing the overall set of participants, and in the final conclusions of the event.

Generating Ideas among Young Professionals and Students

Young professionals and students from Spanish High Schools, Professional Training Schools and Universities have been specifically selected to take part in an idea-generation dynamic at the IMPULSA Forum with a focus on improving their education and their capacity of initiative to transform the future.

Workshop Designing the school of the Future

A group of pupils from primary school in Girona will participate in a Creativity Workshop to define what they would like their school to be like in the future. The goal is to make creative use of diverse resources to express the children's own concepts and ideas on improving their educational environment and their learning experience.

Robotics Workshop: Mission Human Body

In the course of the IMPULSA Forum, various groups of secondary school students without any prior knowledge of the subject will learn how to build a robot.

Every two hours a new group of participants should carry out a critical mission: they are to save a patient before his oxygen runs out by building, programming and starting up nanorobots that are remote-controlled from an operations center. Innovation, creativity, communication, teamwork and lots of ingenuity are what the young doctors need to fulfill their task.

Tuenty Study

A survey conducted among thousands of young people on how to promote enthusiasm through the Tuenti social network.
The Tuenti Study was carried out for the first time in 2010, revealing the reasons why young people in Spain do not venture to undertake entrepreneural activities.

Plant-for-the-planet Academy

A large group of children concerned about the environment will be taking part in a one-day "academy", becoming "ambassadors" of Plant-for-the-Planet. Their mission will be to learn, from other children of their age, what they can do to save the planet and how they can mobilize the social and political agents to plant one million trees in every country.

Plant-for-the-Planet is an organization that was created in Germany by Felix Finkbeiner when he was just 9 years old (he is 13 now). Its goal is to create an international network of children with an awareness of environmental matters and with the capacity to mobilize the resources required to plant 130 million trees throughout the world. This organization, which has the support of the United Nations, is present and has planted trees in about one hundred countries.

Streaming Broadcast

The IMPULSA Forum will be broadcast in 1,200 Catalan, Spanish and Portuguese-speaking universities worldwide through the website www.universia.es

Graphic Recording

Mario Pereda (Barcelona, 1986) 'When I listen, I draw'. I am an artist who captures words, concepts and emotions in pictures, "on the fly", directly. I make the intangible tangible.

During the celebration of the IMPULSA Forum 2011 Mario Pereda will transform the key ideas of each session in graphic ideas, which will be displayed in the Forum itself and in this blog.
