400 people attended the Networking event before the Forum

The activity, which took place at the Maristes School in Girona, marked the start of this year's Impulsa Forum.

Around 400 young people participated in the Networking activity, which took place at the Maristes School in Girona. The event launched the packed and interesting schedule of activities for the 2015 Impulsa Forum.

The activity was organised by the company Inti:training & coaching, which collaborates with the Fundació Èxit, winner of the 2010 Princess of Girona Foundation Award.

As soon as they arrived, the young people were given five cards to write down their details on. The idea was to share the cards discretely with people who they thought they might collaborate with.

There were a range of activities to break the ice, encourage the young people to get to know each other and to help them discover their talents and dreams.

The first task consisted of filling out a worksheet with a list of different characteristics, which the participants then had to find in people nearby. The aim was to find as many people as possible, in order to get to know as many participants as possible.

The second activity asked the question "What do you shine at?", with the aim of helping participants to discover their strengths.

The next task was to share a dream, one that had to be completed over the following year or two.

The end of the process was to show the importance of finding the right balance between dreams and reality, so that dreams are not left to gather dust, but neither are initiatives acted on too hastily, without a well thought out foundation. Participants were given four steps to turn their dreams into reality:

1_ Visualising and imagining what they wanted to achieve.

2_ Specifying the details, with an end date and partial deadlines.

3_ Sharing, something that makes you more responsible for the project, and might mean that the people you share with offer to help

4_ Start, get going with it.
